This week's Mojo Monday has a fun sketch challenge to try.
I thought a trio of dancing teacups would be the perfect centerpiece for this card.
Each teacup was stamped separately (I used painter's tape to mask off the other cups) so that I got a better image than I would have using markers. This also allows for a wider margin to center the 1-3/8" circle punch just so.
The Marina Mist strip has a torn edge and adds just a little color. The 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon is one of my favorite ribbons. It is easy to get a nice knot in this width and texture.
Stamps: Tea Shoppe (125545 [W]; 125547[C]), Kindness Matters (122900 [W]; 122902 [C])
Ink: Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, Regal Rose
Paper: Naturals White, Perfect Plum, Sahara Sand, Marina Mist, Whisper White
Accessories: Perfect Plum 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon (122987), Basic Rhinestones (119246), Dimensionals (104430)
Tools: Finial Press Embossing Folder (115963), Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (117335), Scallop Edge Border Punch (119882), Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (118309)
On a personal note, I lost my beautiful 10 year old Bernese Mountain Dog yesterday. She was ravaged by an aggressive cancerous tumor that came on so quickly, I can hardly believe that just 3 months ago she acted perfectly normal. She was so good with the children and so very sweet and gentle. A wonderful dog and companion. Goodbye my loyal friend.
My Bernese used to lay nearby as I sat at my desk making cards. She liked to lay right where I would need to walk. I was constantly stepping over her (a big step it was!) to get to my paper cutter. I think she did it on purpose so that I wouldn't forget she was near.
Creating is good for the soul. Create something of beauty. Create Something Fun.

Happy Easter Bunny
Happy Easter everyone!
I wanted to make a fun Easter card for a child, so when I saw this cute punched bunny idea on mbgdesigns, I decided to try one myself. I got out my punches and started playing around. I ended up with this little guy sitting on fringed grass surrounded by Easter eggs.
The stamp set I used is Easter Blossoms which is retired, sadly.

Goofy Stuff Birthday - PP#89
It's April! And this weeks challenge at The Paper Players has a theme of "Tickle your funny bone" in keeping with Humor Month.
Here is my whimsical take on the theme:
These little monkeys look like they are ready for mischief as they celebrate someone's birthday. I cut out the monkeys and balloons by hand, but the branch is from the Bird Builder Punch, and the clouds are the cupcake top from the Cupcake Builder Punch.
Stamps: Fox & Friends (117020 [W]; 118565 [C]), Party This Way (118744 [W]; 120609 [C]), Smarty Pants (115070)
Ink: Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Naturals Ivory, Tangerine Tango, Baja Breeze, Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Baker's Twine (124262), Dimensionals (104430)
Tools: Bird Builder Punch (117191), Cupcake Builder Punch (121807)
I love how this fun card turned out. I never would have made this card if I hadn't had the "tickle your funny bone" theme in mind as I looked through my stamps. Thank you Paper Players for hosting such a fun theme this week!

Vintage Creative Elements - PPA131
I created a vintage card using the sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts.
You can see the layers of the dahlia below. There are three layers, each separated by a dimensional. The butterfly and word strip are also popped up with dimensionals.
The background is stamped with Sahara Sand, the flower with Regal Rose, and the butterfly with Soft Suede. I also used Soft Suede and a sponge dauber to get that distressed look on the edges after roughing them up with the edge of my Paper Snips. I know there is a tool for that, but I prefer to use the sharp edge of my little scissors.
Stamps: Creative Elements (122645[W]; 122647[C])
Ink: Sahara Sand, Regal Rose, Soft Suede
Paper: Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Regal Rose, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim (119970), Basic Pearls (119247), Dimensionals (104430)
Tools: Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976), Big Shot (113439), Sponge Dauber (102892)

Send Me Soaring
Yes, it is definately Spring here! My apricot tree has blossoms, the freesias are up and...the wind is blowing. Let's go fly a kite! Actually, I have never been able to keep the darn things up in the air long before they take a nose dive and crash into the ground. Lucky for me, these cute little kites will not fall out of the sky.
The clouds in the background are stamped with Bashful Blue ink and the cupcake top "cloud" is daubed with a little ink the same color to give definition. The kites and cloud are all attached with a dimensional to give them depth.
Stamps: Send Me Soaring (125440[W]; 125442[C])
Ink: Bashful Blue, Elegant Eggplant, Pacific Point, Calypso Coral, Old Olive
Paper: Bashful Blue, Calypso Coral, Whisper White
Accessories: Old Olive 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (111368), Calypso Coral Baker's Twine (125573), Dimensionals (104430)
Tools: Cupcake Builder Punch (121807)

Up In The Air - PP86
Are you up for a color challenge? This week at The Paper Players the challenge is to create a project using Wisteria Wonder, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz. Here's what I came up with...
The colors are reminiscent of Springtime, and the blooming branch and birdhouse stamp from Up In The Air - hostess set from the Occasions Mini, are the perfect partners for an Easter card. The image is stamped with Early Espresso, then the birdhouse was stamped again in Wisteria Wonder and cut out and adhered over the Espresso one. A blender pen is great for "water coloring" the leaves and blossoms. I used the Pool Party frame cut from the Labels Collection Framelits die to show off the stamped image. It sits up a bit with a dimensional under each corner.
Stamps: Up In The Air (Hostess Set Occasions Mini), Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370)
Ink: Early Espresso, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz
Paper: Crumb Cake, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party, Whisper White
Accessories: Crumb Cake 5/8" Seam Binding (122332), Basic Pearls (119247)
Tools: Labels Collection Framelits Dies (125598), Square Lattice Embossing Folder (119976), Word Window Punch (119857), Blender Pens (102845)
